Run and Standby with duty share from a single remote controller.
Toshiba’s latest RAV-HM split systems now have the ability to perform rotation / backup function (Run and Standby) from a single remote controller.
A maximum of two systems can be controlled from one RBC-AMSU52 or other U Series remote controller linked between the A+B controller wiring.
Using the controller DN Codes you can select duty rotation on a daily basis or any number of days between 1 and 28. This enable the systems to have equal run time which is better for system longevity.
In the event of one unit failing, the other unit would automatically energise and take over the cooling requirements giving a true backup N+1 solution.
We can also add on fault indication via volt frees or more advanced Modbus integration if needed.
